hmm.. love those 'infinite' vertical lines.. Like the level & drama of transparency achieved.. But wonder how issit like when the units are occupied, that's when the design is finally considered complete, i think.. could be great if it houses exhibitions mayb?
fortunately in this one, the client is young and pretty with it. he's well aware of the horrors of tenants like Victory Lingerie, or such like, taking over..haha. so he's pretty selective. it's for short term promotional exhibitions with strict diplay conditions. so you won't get blutak on the tempered glass or jeans hanging on plastic hangers from the mesh panels. no exhibits allowed above 1500mm ht.
Would have been better if the original idea of mesh ceilings went thru..but alas, cost was a constraint.
Nice detailing by Cheng Mao Yang, all done in 2 days. Construction was closely monitored by Bryan Sia.
