Lovely in KL!

"The Agence Jouin Manku design team included Patrick Jouin, Sanjit Manku, Yann Brossier (architect), Richard Perron (designer). Officina del Paesaggio from Lugano, Switzerland was in charge of the landscape design, and L’Observatoire, New York, USA handled the lighting. - Tuija Seipell"

a huge, polished white marble comet crashed into kl....

oh..thanks for the info.. i just did a quick research and found that it's completed in the end of 2008. was deceived by those 3D computer images which make me think that they aren't built.

em..i'm not sure if we are allowed to visit the house. haha..but Francis Yeoh is attending my church tho. but i dunno him personally, ish..that's the problem. lol.

in a scale from 1 to 10, how much do you guys think this building respond to its site context?

x)

i initially tot it was a hoax.. cuz it looks too fake in da surrounding.. since its so huge y wont anybody notice it.. there arent many posh residential areas in kl anyway..

ok... its in the Bangsar area.. that area behind Bangsar Shopping centre.. on da left hand side of Jalan Maarof.. accessible from Jalan Duta.. Based on my guesses.. LOL.. somebody go hunt for that house! haha..

Waaa...Benny, Dtk Francis Yeoh attends YOUR church ar? Not u attend his church? Wow! U must b pretty high up in the church hierarchy: u the Senior Youth Minister or something? lol...sorry la, couldn't resist that.

Pls pls try to go up to him and ask for a visit (brother brother mar..) for yourself and some frens (meaning all of us here). I'm sure he'll b v nice to u.

er..those weren't computer images. they were actual site photos (i'm sure).

Yes, Bad & Sherm...site context. Obviously off scale, but that's about it. Architecturally unlike its neighbours, but so what? Since the neighbours are a hodge podge united nations of styles.

"A house on a hill cannot be hidden." So, don't hide.

A house on a hill in a land searching for architectural inspiration needs to take the lead. So, lead.

And who can say it doesn't anchor the neighbourhood with a landmark in a manner of its time?

Out of 10?

Let's say 8.5

(~Good Grief! Some of u r already getting ideas for Ipoh!)
